  1. It's funny how some workouts can kill you in 7 minutes and some can last for over 25 minutes and you can still hang in there.

    Back Squat : 215#

WOD: 27:15 - I know it's not very impressive, but I did beat my last time by almost 3 minutes.

Word of advice: Tape your hands folks. I tore at the end of the pull ups. Push ups are not a lot of fun when your raw flesh is sitting in pools of of your own sweat.

  2. Thinking about this WOD kept me up half the night. I knew I could not do 100 kipping pull ups. Now that it's over I wish I would have stuck it out a little longer and done more of them. Next time, Angie, next time.

    Back squat: 140#
WOD: 21:00 (25 kippers, 75 jumpers, push ups on knees)

Jer, I'm impressed with your real push ups and pull ups today!

Amazing how my nerves got the adrenaline pumping...it quickly faded and during the car ride home I almost threw up.

  4. The conversation I just had on the phone with my Dad...
"Now, I wanna have a talk with you about this heavy weightlifting stuff I hear you're doing."
    "Okay"
"You've got to realize you're a small person and shouldn't be doing that kind of thing. You're too delicate for that. It's going to end up hurting you in the long run."
"Okay,Dad. I'll take your adivce into consideration."

After my first triathlon he told me I never needed to do another. So I did 11 more. How does he not know by now that this is only fuel for my fire?

This negative commentary comes from a person who is at least 50 pounds overweight, won't take ANY of my nutrition advice, never exercises, has had a triple bypass, and was just diagnosed with dementia at 68. 68!! It makes me so sad to hear him talk about dying and to see him unable to play with grandkids. I would rather get *slightly* injured doing Crossfit than consider the alternative. I'll be in the garage for a workout tomorrow at 9:30.

  6. Nice job on the 25 Kipling pullups Haleen! I didn't make it in today but I might do it tomorrow. I always get so scared when I see wods with pull ups because they take me forever.
